Timothy "Tim" L. Roeder, 57 of Holdrege and formerly of Kearney, died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at his residence. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010 at O’Brien Straatmann Funeral Home in Kearney.  The Rev. Dean Pofahl will officiate.  Visitation will be 5-7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society.  On-line condolences may be submitted to osafh.com.  O’Brien Straatmann Funeral Home in Kearney is in charge of arrangements.
     He was born August 5, 1953 in Kearney to Dale and Geraldine (Cudaback) Roeder.  He grew up in Kearney and graduated from Kearney High School in 1971.  He was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church.  He received his Bachelor's degree from Kearney State College.  On April 8, 2010 he married Carla Hanzlick in Kearney.  They lived in Holdrege and he was employed by Kim Lueking CPA in Oxford.
     He loved animals and keeping up with current events.  He had a wonderful sense of humor. 
     Survivors include his wife of Holdrege; son, Jason and wife Reiko of Jacksonville, NC; stepsons, Nathan Knipp of Lincoln and Jacob Knipp of Topeka, KS; step-daughter, Bethany Knipp of Lincoln; mother, Geraldine of Kearney; twin brother, Thomas L. Roeder of Clarks, NE; grandson, William Roeder; and parents-in-law, Bud and Pat Hanzlick of Belleville, KS.
     He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
