Bass Harbor, Maine— Betty “Jo” Moore, 46, of Bass Harbor, Maine, formerly of Kearney, Nebraska, died Wednesday, Oct, 27,1999, at Ellsworth Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth, Maine after a long battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be in the spring on Gott’s Island.

Memorials are suggested to theJo Methe Memorial Fund in care of the Bar Harbor Bank and Trust Company in Southwest Harbor.

She was born May 7, 1953, in Kearney to Armond “Frenchie” and Evelyn (Montgomery) Methe. She graduated from Kearney High School in 1971.

On October 8, 1983 she married James Moore in Bernard.She was a massage therapist for the past 25 years.

She enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, especially the rocky coast, and animals of every kind.

Survivors include her husband of Bernard: sisters Evan Kell, Medford Ore. and Mary Husman, Denver, brothers Vernon Beavers, Elm Creek, Neb, and Michael Methe, Wichita, Kan,: and many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and one brother.
