Michael J. Moore

Michael J. Moore, 27, of Rt. 4, Kearney, died Friday evening May 1st, 1981, at the local hospital as a result of injuries he received in a one vehicle accident late Wednesday evening.

     Mr. Moore was born in Kearney and had lived here all his life.

     He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Elks, had served on the Kearney emergency unit crew and was a former member of the Kearney Fire Department.  Mr. Moore was a partner in the Brandt Construction Company.

     Survivors are his son, Chad Michael of Kearney;  his mother, Darlene Brandt of Kearney;  his father John G. Moore of Sabetha, Kan;  his grandmother Opal Triplett of Kearney, and two sisters, Terry Howe of Omaha, and Amber Brandt of Kearney.

     Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Warren Swartz and the Rev. Raymond Nuetzman officiating.  Burial will be in the Kearney cemetery.

     Pallbearers will be Neil and Rick Yendra, Dennis Shea, Charles Wing, Hubert O'Brien, Michael Ragains, and Gary Hansen.

     Memorials are planned to the Kearney Fire Department or the coronary intensive care unit of Good Samaritan Hospital.

     Horner Lieske Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
