STUMPFF, Kurt, 51, of San Diego, formerly of Kearney, Neb., died Friday, July 16th, 2004, at a San Diego hospital.

No services; body will be cremated.

Born Feb. 20, 1953 in Omaha

Parents:  Donald and Elaine (Reese) Stumpff

Graduated from Kearney High School, 1971; attended Kearney State Colleg, completed his degree in San Diego

Was an avid reader;  enjoyed the beach, backpacking and his many friends.

Survivors include:  mother of Kearney;  and sisters, Nancy Eckhoff and Pamela of Kearney; also brother-in-law, Michael Eckhoff of Kearney; nephew Derek Eckhoff of Kearney and nieces, Shelby and Delaney Eckhoff, both of Kearney

Was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Michael
