KEARNEY — Connie J. Nutt, 63, of Axtell died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney with the Rev. Dean Pofahl officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Axtell.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

She died shortly after she was admitted to the hospital.

She was born June 18, 1953, in Kearney to Leonard and Joyce (Carmen) Mazankowski. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Church. She grew up in Kearney and was raised by her mother and stepfather, Joyce and Harley Wood. She graduated from Kearney High School in 1971.

On Sept. 13, 1972, she married Ron Fulmer. The couple later divorced.

Connie lived in Axtell and worked at the Orange Coach restaurant then managed Red River Steakhouse in Minden. In 2002, she started working at Walgreens in Kearney where she worked as a pharmacy tech until her death.

On April 10, 2006, she married Wendell Nutt in Las Vegas.

Connie was a member of the Kearney American Legion Auxiliary in Kearney. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, gambling and especially enjoyed entertaining and spending time with her family.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Wendell of Axtell; daughter, Natasha McMahon and husband Chris of Axtell; son, Jess Fulmer and wife Jessica of Axtell; grandchildren, Michael Holen of Laurel, Md., and Mikaila Holen and Allison Fulmer, both of Axtell; mother, Joyce Wood of Kearney; brother, Dennis Mazankowski and wife Robin of Kearney; and sister, Candy McMullen and husband Bill of Kearney.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Harley Wood.
